Yes.
Is the unregistered download version feature limited?
How do I register Data On The Run?
I bought the full version, and it is still saying the program is expired!
How do I upgrade to the latest version?
Why isn't the new version a free upgrade for all users?
I don't see the drop downs, forms, queries, reports, or macros from my desktop. Windows Mobile devices don't have the storage space or processing power of a desktop computer. A typical Access installation alone would fill the memory of a mobile device many times over. So not all functions will be available on the device. You can use add in drop down choices from within Data On The Run on your device as described in the user guide, and create the queries you want on the device, but you cannot use desktop forms, macros, etc. in Data On The Run. I am upgrading from version 4. How do I get my data from version 4 into version 5? Version 5 uses a different file format from version 4. If you are synchronizing with Microsoft Access and you have a current copy of your Access database file, just launch Data On The Run Synchronization Manager on your desktop and set up synchronization with your Access file as described in the user guide. If you had previously been synchronizing using Data On The Run 4, you can uncheck the "Pocket Access" synchronization in ActiveSync options, as this is no longer used for Data On The Run 5. If you were not synchronizing Data On The Run 4 with the desktop, and you have a file only on the device, and you want to use that with version 5, you can connect your device, click "Explore" in ActiveSync, then drag the file to the desktop and convert it to an Access file. You can uncheck the "keep tables synchronized" box that you may see during this process. Please note that this will not work with ActiveSync 4.5 or later, as Microsoft has blocked all transfer of the old "Pocket Access" files in versions 4.5 or later of ActiveSync. You will need to use version 4.2 or earlier of ActiveSync to convert your .cdb Pocket Access file to an Access database. Once you have the Access file on your desktop you can then use Data On The Run Synchronization Manager to convert the file to the new version 5 format as described in the user guide. If you need any assistance please let us know.
You can add a primary key by inserting a field in Design view for your table using Microsoft Access on your desktop computer. Insert a field as the first field, call it "ID", and choose "AutoNumber" for the data type. Then, right click on that field and choose "Primary Key".
Your software doesn't quite do what I want. Can you recommend another program? We try to make the software as best we can, but realize that no software can do all things for all people. However, it is a policy not to recommend competing programs. It would be kind of like going to Burger King, telling them you really didn't like their hamburgers that well, and then asking them which McDonald's sandwich they thought was the best :-).
