CopyText Pro is a way to enter in frequently used text and phrases, FAST!!  Keep a list of frequently used web addresses, an e-mail signature file, or a reply to a frequently asked question in CopyText Pro and you can paste it in with as little as one screen tap!!  Enter hard to write items like web addresses without switching your input method!  Uses very little of your Pocket PC's memory.

Version 1.2 adds better support for Windows Mobile 2003SE devices, and VGA, Square, and Landscape devices, and better pasting into Inbox/Messaging.  See the change log.  See important notes for upgrading from an earlier version.

Here is how to use CopyText Pro:

The buttons at the bottom of the screen tell CopyText Pro what to do when you tap on the text.  Let's start with the hammer button:

The hammer button is the "setup" mode.  When the hammer button is activated, a tap on an item will not send text to another application.  This allows you to tap on an item to highlight it for editing, etc..

TIP:  When entering multiple line text, it's best to use the enter key at the end of the text.  Some programs will leave off your last line of text if you don't have an extra "enter key press" at the end.....

Set up new text to paste by tapping "Edit" and "Add New Item".   You can also use the tap and hold "Add New Item".  Give each text phrase a short name that describes it, and then enter the text you will want pasted in the box below.  Now, when you return to the main screen, tap the button at the bottom to indicate where you would like to paste text to, and a single tap on that text will send it to the application of your choice!   The Inbox, Word, and Notes buttons send text to those applications.  The back arrow button takes you back to the last application you were using prior to starting CopyText Pro, which allows you to paste text into just about any application!

TIP: For the fastest access to CopyText Pro, assign a hardware button to launch CopyText Pro.

A special note about Inbox pasting:

Inbox doesn't seem to remember your cursor position like the other applications do.   Therefore, it is necessary to tap where you want your text to go when CopyText brings you back to Inbox, to reset the position of the cursor.  You can adjust the time that you will have to set the cursor position by visiting the options screen and moving the slider.

TIP:  Adjust the sliders in the options screen to give yourself more time to reposition the cursor if you'd like, or slide them toward "short" for faster pasting!

NOTE:  CopyText Pro will copy the text to the Windows clipboard, but it is possible that an application will not paste text when instructed to do so by CopyText Pro, especially if that application does not have its own "paste" menu item.  If you are concerned about this please try the demo version!

CopyText Pro is only $4.99 to register.  The unregistered version is fully functional for 30 days.
